Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to the sixth grade! My name is Miss Shubov and I will be your child’s Judaic studies(6G) and ELA (6G and 6B) teacher this year. I am looking forward to a year full of learning and growing!
Our Judaic Studies day begins at 8:15 a.m and ends at 12:00 p.m Monday through Thursday. On Friday our day begins at 8:15 a.m and ends at 10:30 a.m. Our English Studies day begins at 12:00 p.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Friday, our day will begin at 10:30 a.m. and go until 1:00 p.m. Attendance is extremely important and your child is expected to be in school every day. If your child is absent, please send a note to school when they return explaining why.
The sixth-grade curriculum is academically challenging but developmentally appropriate. The day will consist of independent and group work, projects, and hands on activities. In order for your child to make consistent progress throughout the year they must complete all homework assignments.
I look forward to working together to help your child successfully reach their goals. Every child learns at their own pace and it is very important that you applaud their accomplishments, no matter how small they may seem.
